Bec Foster

Hello! My name is Rebecca Foster, but I prefer to go by Becca or Bec. I’m currently a junior at Ramapo College of New Jersey majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in History, which is why I’m taking this class. Environmental Studies is my passion and what I want to focus on for the rest of my life, and I feel like History connects to the topic well when it comes to things like Environmental Education and Conservation in general. After college, I would like to do a wide variety of things like environmental education, sustainability advocacy, and hopefully even the Peace Corp and Americorps. I know I’ll be happy and fulfilled if I am able to travel the world through my profession and never be tied down to one area for too long. I am currently the President of Alpha Phi Omega on campus, the professional co-ed community service fraternity under the Professional Fraternity Council. Within APO I am able to serve my community and country by doing various different types of community service like working with battered women and their children, making and distributing quilts to the homeless and children in hospitals, and much more. Being able to be the President of something that is so close to my heart is extremely fulfilling and everyday that I am able to do some good for the world is a good day for me.
