Dear Frank,

I know my last letter was little more than a note however I had hopes that you might answer it.  I suppose that debate tho has been taking all your time.  By the time you get this it will be all over so I hope it was successful.

Two of the pictures are the ones we took [page 2] last Labor Day & the other two were taken here. I don't think any of them are any good but that you might like to see especially those before the hike.  You can return them please when you next see me.

Our English course is getting very broad and she's expecting a great deal of outside reading. I think I told you we had to review a novel well, needless to say I haven't done it yet partly because it's so hard to [page 3] get any of them short of buying them.  I joined a circulating library just to get "Circus Prade" for I wanted to review it and then learned that it wouldn't be in until after the time I have to have my review in, so- I read "Claire Aubler" to have something to fall back on.  I didn't like it at all and there's so little to it that it would be [page 4] very hard to review.  We also have to read four or five essays in current magazines and report on those.  It keeps me broke just buying magazines it seems.  I have to buy Vogue, Harpers, etc for costume and [Bookman and Forum?] etc. for essays phew! To say nothing of the Post for advertising and the N Yorker for general use.  Anyhow prahaps you'd like to write my review as you did the biography?[page 5

I've been right lucky about show this week.  Twice tickets have been sent up. For "these Modern Women" and "Rape" and I saw one other on my own cash.  I saw that "Maya" was being censored so I immediately wanted to see it but didn't bother.

I've also been rushing about the city trying to see exhibits before they're [page 6] taken off.  Saw the work of Sergeants work and of course it was wonderful.

This letter is just 'I did this', & 'I did that', isn't it? but I'll try to do better next time Anyway it's better than none it seems to me.

                                                            Love,

                                                                  Henri

P.S. That last is just a nasty little jab I couldn't refrain from tacking on forgive it.
