My Dear Henrietta,

I am writing this in an respite that the boss gave me by going outside.  I have not much time.  However I thought that I would at least write a note to show that you were constantly on my mind.  Perhaps I do not have to write to tell you that.  You already know it. But I know that you cannot repeat a thing like that too many times.

If the weather is nice I expect to come home on Wednesday Eve.  It isn't likely that we will go anywhere is it.  I don't think I can afford to go to a show.  Isn't this a hell of an existence?  I suppose that I will have to go through this Shredded Wheat period in order to more enjoy the cock-tail period if I ever reach that high station in life.

Wasn't Broun good last night?  I enjoyed it very intensely.  I even read it to Strat, who is thinking of buying some stocks.

The old Dodge is running like a charm.  I certainly think that I got a buy in that buggy.  Since I have it I don't want to overdo running to Mahwah, but I think I am entitled to see you once through the week when you are as handy as that don't you?

                                            Lots of love,

P.S. The osculatory imperfections are healing. J.F.Y.
