Tom DiGregorio

I am Tom DiGregorio and I am a History major with minors in International Business and Italian at Ramapo College of New Jersey.  I am interested in military history, Italian history, and political history. History has always been an interest of mine, I knew I would be a History major since I was in 8th grade.  I am also interested in cars, music and sports. I am currently the Treasurer of the Italian Club and will be doing a summer internship in Italy for the summer of 2018. The Italian language and culture are interesting to me and it has always been a dream of mine to go there, so getting to go this summer, especially for an internship, is a dream come true.  I am also the first member of my family to go to college so I take pride in the work and efforts I make in all of my school work.

I chose this topic because of my interest in military history.  I wanted to see how Theodore Roosevelt impacted the First World War and the public opinion of the United States.  I was between Theodore Roosevelt and the First World War or the Rough Riders but the First World War seemed more interesting.  The Rough Riders is much more well known and seems like something that anybody interested in American History knows at least something about.  Roosevelt was no longer the President of the United States but he still voiced his opinion on American involvement in the war.
